iPhone pulls Choice Solar into U.S. market

An Oregon company formed to develop easy-to-use solar-powered battery chargers and lights in India is being pulled into the U.S. market by the siren song of iPhone users clamoring for charging options.
Choice Solar India, formed in 2008 by Hewlett-Packard veterans Ravi Sinha and Katherine Cleland, is owned by Portland-based holding company Choice Solutions Corp. Choice Solar's website shows solar-powered lanterns and rooftop solar panels in rural and urban India.
